The questions every race director asks first.
It can cost the race nothing. The setup most organizers choose is runner-paid: we bring the station, finishers who want their time engraved pay us directly, and the race gets the perk without a line in its budget. Races that would rather include it for every finisher can host it instead. Tell us which you are thinking of and we will price both.
They hand us the medal at the finish and tell us the name, date and time they want on it, and it goes back to them engraved a few minutes later. What makes it run smoothly is agreeing beforehand how we check official results, and what we do about times that post late. We will have engraved a sample of your medal before race day, so the settings are already dialed in.
Most race medals engrave well, but the finish decides it, and finishes on medals vary enormously. Send us one spare medal along with whatever you know about its material and plating, and we will engrave it and send you the result. That test is the whole answer, and it is why we ask for a medal weeks before the race rather than on the day.
A spot near the finish area, access to power, and a way to get our gear in and out. Send us the course map or the finish-line layout and we will tell you exactly what footprint we need and where we should stand to catch finishers without blocking the flow. We would rather sort that out on a map than on the morning.
Everything from a local 5K to half and full marathons, across Delaware, southeastern Pennsylvania, South Jersey and Maryland. Field size changes the staffing rather than whether we can do it, so tell us your expected finisher count and we will tell you how many operators it needs to keep the queue moving.
Six to twelve weeks before race day is ideal. That gives us time to test a sample of your actual medal, and it gives you time to promote the perk to registrants, which is where it earns its keep. It looks good in a pre-race email and it gives finishers a reason to stay at the finish line a little longer.
Send the required date before ordering. Standard turnaround is 3–5 business days after final proof approval; rush timing must be confirmed. Drop-off and pickup are by appointment.
