Yes. The laser frosts the acrylic itself, so the mark is part of the sheet and cannot peel, rub off or wash away. Indoors an engraved panel will look the same in ten years. Outdoors the thing to plan for is the acrylic rather than the engraving, since plain sheet yellows under years of sun, so exterior signs want a UV-stable material.
Vector files work best for logos and lettering on acrylic: AI, EPS, SVG or DXF. High-resolution PNG and JPEG are fine for photo engraving. If your logo only exists as a small web image or a printed card, send it over anyway. Converting and cleaning up artwork so it cuts and engraves properly is part of how we set the job up.
