The finish and care depend on the selected material and how the item will be used. We review the surface and engraving placement, and recommend following the product-specific care instructions rather than treating engraving as a guarantee against wear or damage.

Yes, the 40 oz Quencher H2.0 is the Stanley we are asked for most. It goes on a rotary fixture and we engrave the front panel opposite the handle, which gives you a clean, centered area with plenty of room for a name, a monogram or a full design. The handle is never in the way.
No. Engraving removes only the outer powder-coat layer to reveal the stainless steel underneath, so the vacuum insulation and the structure of the cup are untouched and it holds temperature exactly as before. Stanley's own warranty covers insulation and manufacturing defects, and nothing about engraving the outer coat affects either.
Every Stanley color engraves, but the deep ones give the sharpest result: black, charcoal, navy, plum and the darker seasonal shades, because bright steel showing through a dark coat is what creates the contrast. The pastels engrave to a softer, quieter look that some people prefer. Tell us which cup you have and we will tell you what to expect from it.
